XCEL
Xcel is an alternative USA Gymnastics Competitive program that provides a gymnast of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience. This year long commitment allows the gymnast to spend more time in the gym perfecting her goals and competing at meets. We are looking for gymnasts as young as 6 years old who show a strong desire to continue to perfect their skills and strengthen themselves as gymnasts. As well as, learn new challenging skills using safe progressions.
How do I inquire about team?
If you would like more information or your child has an interest in Xcel please email: badgergymnastics@gmail.com
How much does it cost?
Monthly rates are dependent on team placement and practice hours in the gym.
When are the practices?
Xcel practices are two hours long and they meet twice a week.
How many meets do they attend?
Gymnasts will compete at 4-6 meets during the season and upon qualification, one state meet.
When does the season start?
The commitment to Xcel is April to April. The competition season is January thru March.
Does my child have to have prior gymnastics experience?
We would like potential team members to have some experience in gymnastics before being evaluated for the Xcel team. Requirements will vary year to year. If your child does have prior competitive gymnastics experience, an evaluation may be required.
USAG Teams
While team isn’t for everyone, we do offer the opportunity to kids with the desire, strength, and skill necessary for competitive gymnastics. Our program operates under the sanction of USA Gymnastics, the national governing body of our sport, and ranges from Level 3 to our Optional program. Membership to our team is by invitation only. Typically we are looking for kids already enrolled in our various programs. If interested please email: badgergymnastics@gmail.com
Option 1: To drop a class, please email our office: badgergymnastics@gmail.com
Option 2: Visit the website and click on the “Log In” button, select “Drop Student Request”, and fill out the request which will be emailed to our office.
*There are no refunds or credits for missed or dropped classes.
Multiple child discount: Badger Gymnastics customers will receive a $10 second child discount if multiple children are enrolled before the session begins in our 12 week sessions. This discount only applies to children in one family under the same account. If you choose to drop your enrollment at any point in the session, you loose the discount.
Multiple class discounts: Tumbleweed’s enrolled in more than one class per week receive a $40 discount on the second day. Students enrolled in Skills Classes, Tumbling Classes or other additional classes receive a $45 discount on the second day.
*If you are not current with your bill according to the session dates, you will not be eligible for discounts. Customers must enter a new session with a zero balance in order to be eligible for the discounts listed above.
**Due to our short summer sessions, we do not offer the second child discount or the second day discount.
In case of tornados or severe thunderstorms, your child will seek shelter in the safest part of our gyms per location. During winter weather that make driving conditions difficult, we will cancel classes and notify you via email. Badger Gymnastics will NOT schedule make up lessons for inclement weather. Please keep in mind that cancellations may vary between our 2 locations.
Note: Badger Gymnastics will not necessarily follow the public school cancellation policies. Our business does not depend on bus route decisions that school districts need to make for the safety of the children.
Each student is allowed 1 makeup class per session. Makeup classes are possible in classes that do not meet our student/teacher ratio. Please keep in mind, however, that we will not sacrifice our student/teacher ratios. Due to limited class availability there are no makeup options for Tumbling Only, Junior High Workshop, Senior High Workshop, and Adult Classes. Call the office to inquire about makeup class. If we are unable to schedule a makeup class, we can offer you an open gym pass.
Children are welcome to wear any comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely. Students should not wear jewelry, watches, hooded shirts, and clothing with zippers or buttons. All long hair must be tied back.
We ensure our class sizes are small enough so that all children get the amount of one-on-one time that they need. For our Tumbleweeds classes, we maintain a 5:1 student/teacher ratio; for General Class ages 6-8 the ratio is 6:1, and in our 9 and older age group the ratio is 7:1. We know that by maintaining these ratios, all our gymnasts will enjoy their class to the fullest and learn a lot, also!
Yes! If we have spots available you are more than welcome to register online for a class. We will prorate your fee for you upon receiving the registration. Please note that we DO NOT PRORATE for missed classes.
If a class is full the waitlist link will pop up on the class list page. By registering your child on a wait list it allows our staff to know your interest in being in that class. We will contact you if a spot becomes available. It is possible that a spot may open up partially though the session. If that is the case, we would prorate your fee.
Disclaimer: After the session begins and class dynamics are set, we will insert the student that best fits the already established dynamics of the group.
We would like to make registering your child as easy as possible for you. Just pick the age group your child belongs in and we will do the rest. If you have questions after reviewing the information on the class pages, don’t hesitate to call the office.
